We love sweatshirts and hoodies and wanted to make one of our own. When we designed it it came out so amazing we had to share it with everyone! First, we picked our sweatshirt. Sophie wanted something lightweight and very soft. It’s unisex and slim but not fitted. Irene likes the heavyweight sweatshirts that are sometimes known to help with anxiety. She found she loved the 10oz oversize fit which is perfect for anyone. Then we started to design!

The front logo commemorates the date Irene first walked unassisted. Irene suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury in 2022 where she shattered her C5 and fractured her C6. In the ICU doctors and nurses would tell her she would not walk and would need assistance for the rest of her life. She took these words and decided she would prove them wrong. While in rehab she used this as a mantra. She worked hard every day for months and on 11. 27. 22 she walked unassisted for the first time since her accident. Sophie picked the date thinking it would be a perfect “hidden message” on their sweatshirt. The back displays Prove. Them. Wrong. loud and proud! We want you to remind yourself and everyone when people underestimate you, put your mind to it and prove them wrong. Achieve what you dream!

The last piece that makes our sweatshirts special is our hand-sewn tag. Sophie sews a bee on each sweatshirt in a different place. The bee tag could be on the hood, pocket, cuff, or waistband. Just like everyone has unique struggles, the tag makes each of our sweatshirts unique.
